 FS-8712 Rugged Chassis
12-Slot 8U VME
The AP Labs FS-8712 option is a ruggedized 12-slot, 8U enclosure.
AP Labs designed the FS-8712 to meet MIL-STD-810E, shock and vibration specifications for severe environments, as well as MIL-STD-461C for EMI specifications.
A hinged front door provides front loading access to the VME PCBs. An optional security interlock can be provided on the front door and all other panels are then non-removable without first opening the front panel. The rear I/O panel can be custom configured for the intended application.
Cooling is front to rear as standard, and can be optionally configured for front to side or side to side. Thermal monitoring and control are available as an option.
The enclosure comes in a rack-mount configuration and can be provided with or without internal shock-mounts and EMI hardware.
